What is a high pressure boiler?
High pressure boilers are vessels that facilitate the transfer of heat from its source to water or steam while maintaining a high internal pressure. In general, a boiler operating at a steam or other vapor pressure greater than 9.8MPa is called as High Pressure Boiler. Because of the massive output steam or water, high pressure boilers are often large and can be multiple stories tall. They have a large footprint and occupy huge space. They often refer to Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers, Waste Heat Recovery Boilers or Power Plant Boilers.
Water-tube high pressure steam boilers
Technically, high pressure steam boilers are those that operate at pressure greater than 9.8MPa. The high pressure in a closed vessel results in high temperature that can be used to maximize efficiency and power. Just like conventional boilers, they are also made from steel, aluminum or cast iron, qualified enough to be used in industrial, manufacturing or power plant applications.

High pressure boilers always are equipped with multiple safety valves and gauges in order to prevent dangerous pressure levels.
